Ritz Carlton Residence

Frank Ponterio’s ultimate goal is to help his clients live exceptionally well. Fine living within a historical landmark is his inspiration for this project.

Ponterio presents a masculine, urban space that feels collected rather than decorated, incorporating a sense of modern classic. Taking his lead from the reconstructed Farwell Building, the Chicago-based designer offers his modern translation of a classic 1920/1930s European interior. Ponterio’s appreciation for the intricacies of fine design and his finesse with preservation and restoration enabled him to celebrate the property’s architectural legacy while avoiding a staid or stuffy tone. Handsome and neat with clean lines and surprising touches like cashmere walls, the space marries elegance with ease. The private and public spaces are graciously balanced, allowing for relaxed entertaining and private sanctuary.
